how to modify a dirt bike to avoid repairs

My son loves riding his dirt bike, but we have run into several problems with the different bikes that he has had over the years. It has taken quite a bit of trial and error to find the right parts to upgrade the stock bikes and avoid some of the costly problems that we have experienced in the past. Through all of those trials, we have learned exactly how to modify his new bikes and save a ton of money in motor repairs. To learn what we have done to his bike to keep it running long and strong, visit my website.

3 Types Of Snowmobile Safety Equipment That You Must Have

Cody Shelton

Going out on your snowmobile can often be a fun and exhilarating experience, but it also comes with its fair share of dangers, particularly if you enjoy taking your snowmobile off the beaten path or deep into the wilderness. Listed below are three types of snowmobile safety equipment that can help you increase your chances of survival in the event of an emergency.

Avalanche Airbag

One of the most important tools at your disposal in the event of an avalanche is an avalanche airbag. When an avalanche occurs, the smaller items that are swept up will end up at the bottom of the snow while the larger ones will typically end up near the top of the snow. The idea of an avalanche airbag is to make you larger when the airbag is deployed, thus keeping you at the top of the wave of snow from the avalanche and reducing the chances that you will be completely buried.

One of the worst things that can happen to you while riding a snowmobile is to get caught up in an avalanche and be buried beneath the snow. In that situation, it is important to have a beacon. With a beacon on you, emergency services will be able to scan the area where the avalanche took place and pick up the signal being transmitted by your beacon, which makes it much more likely that you will be discovered and pulled out of the snow.

Signalling Mirror

Finally, you will always want to make sure that you have signaling tools in the event that you are going into a less-traveled area while on your snowmobile. The reason for this is that it can be very difficult for search parties to find you if you become stranded in a heavily wooded area due to a damaged snowmobile or if you are deep in mountainous terrain.

Consider taking a small signaling mirror with you so that you can attempt to get the attention of emergency services aircraft. However, do not simply hold the mirror in a patch of sunlight, the static reflection will be hard to differentiate from the light reflecting off of the snow around you. Instead, move the mirror about to create an irregular and repeating reflection that will be more likely to attract attention.

Visit your local sporting goods or motor sports store today in order to discuss which types of safety equipment and items like waterproof speakers for sale you should consider when riding a snowmobile. An avalanche airbag, beacon, and signaling mirror are all great safety tool that can help make you as safe as possible while riding your snowmobile.
